dc.description.abstract This paper x-rays the use of non-formal education and rehabilitation theories in rehabilitating c_ommercial sex workers in Sokoto State, Nigeria. It begins with an overview of rehabilitation situational analysis of commercial sex workers in Sokoto State and goes further to discuss nonformal education in the context of rehabilitation. Some rehabilitation theories are also examined, and their implications to rehabilitation of commercial sex workers are highlighted. The paper concludes that to better reach out to commercial sex workers rehabilitatively, efforts must be comprehensive, friendly, need and theory-based. It recommends among others that non-formal educators should popularize the use of theory-based rehabilitation programmes through writing and advocacy for it to be embraced by the government and non-governmental organisations for better rehabilitation of commercial sex workers en_US
