Abstract:
In the name of Allah, the

Not
only in this contemporary time
but
even in the
ja

li
yya
period
adultery and
alcoholism were among the
rampant
social vice
s that
seriously
and negatively
affected the
attitude and
general
morals
of the people in that period.
in
fact
before the advent of Islam
the
high rate of adultery and alcoholi
s
m was among the factors milit
ating
against social order in
that p
eriod
.
However
Islam
is a complete
way of life
providing total
guidance
to
all mankind
ever
y
aspect
of human
life
socially politically
economically
and
in the course of human
guide
guidance
of
Islam
promulgated
the prohibition of all social vice
s
and
immoralities
including
adultery and alcoholism. This can be seen in different p
laces
in
the holy
Qur’an
on
the
prohibition of adultery
,
Allah says
:
“
Nor
came night to adultery for
it shameful
(dead)
and evil
opening the road
to other evils”
