dc.description.abstract A survey was conducted on thc helminth parasites of Gallus gallus slaughtered at the Sokoto Central Market, In all, a total of 120 hirds of varying weights and sexes were examined for parasites through the examination of the contents of thei r intestinal tracts. 62.5(V" ofthe birds were found infested with parasitic ccstodes and nematodes. Thc younger birds were also found with higher prevalence than the old birds. No signiticant differences were found in the prevalence between the males and females. en_US
